CTL

Christmas is the most enjoyable occasion of the year, especially for children. The colors of Christmas touch the minds of young and old. Christmas art and craft ideas add to the enjoyment of the season. Here are some Christmas art and craft ideas you can use with the kids to enable them to create their own decorations using these Christmas art and craft ideas.

Sock Snowman

Fill a sock with cotton balls up to the cuff. Fold and tied with a strip of fabric underneath the hill. Decorate with hat and scarf. Add eyes, nose and mouth using black felt. Add finishing touches using ribbons, pompom, Holly leaves, etc. This is an easy and fun Christmas arts and craft idea.

Reindeer Antlers

Cut a band out of red construction paper to fit the child's head and brown construction paper using the child's hand as a pattern. The hands are then attached to the front of the red band. Add sequins, stickers, pompoms, etc., for decoration. You can use any decorative odds and ends you may have.

Bead Tree Ornaments

Beads can be strung on a pipe cleaner and then shaped like a candy cane, wreath, bell, etc. A ribbon loop is tied to use for hanging. This is a fun Christmas arts and craft idea your entire family can enjoy.

Gift Box Christmas Ornaments

Small empty boxes can be wrapped with beautiful papers. String can be attached to use it as an ornament.

Pinecone Christmas Trees

A dry pinecone is smeared with glue and then sprinkled with green glitters. Paper stars, sequins, tinsel and glitter can be used for further adornment. This Christmas arts and craft idea will last for years!

Personalized Christmas Stocking

Christmas stockings are common items of Christmas, and one of the easiest Christmas arts and craft idea is to personalize them. Iron-on letters or glitter-and-glue pens can be used to write the name on the stockings. Writing with glue pen and then smearing glitters is a good idea, too.

Christmas Wreath

Start with a twisted vine-wreath base, either natural or artificial. On this wreath, pine boughs, artificial fruit and four different colored ribbons (width and color of choice) can be arranged loosely. Different arrangement can be tried. Once you like the arrangement, the pine boughs are to be cut according to desired length and glued to the wreath. To complete the decoration, use ribbons, dried fruits, holly berries, etc., and glue to the wreath in the same fashion. Instead of pine boughs, small clumps of leaves from the Holly branches can be attached to the wreath, for a more traditional look.
